Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week, is a weeklong celebration that culminates in an awards ceremony to honor Colorado's successful minority businesses.
Designated by President Ronald Reagan in 1982, MED Week is celebrated in many states throughout our nation. Each year for the past 26 years, a week is set aside in the fall to honor the many successful minority entrepreneurs in Colorado. In Colorado activities such as business open houses, receptions, business trade fairs, and workshops are held during this special week. The MED Week Business Awards Luncheon closes out the week and brings honor to some very special business owners, corporations and advocates that have been nominated by their peers as being successful in their business endeavors and communities, and have worked to promote minority enterprise throughout the state.
