There are over 92,984 students attend Denver Public School. Nearly 62,220 students take advantage of the free/reduced cost lunches, and 2,113 are completely homeless. Denver Public Schools arranges for buses to pick up the homeless children at various stops in Denver. Right now, they carry all their belongings in grocery sacks. These children are in need of basic necessities such as backpacks, pencils and notebooks.
Thank you for your help; it is always appreciated!
We thank all our
MEED would like to send out a big THANK YOU to all of the wonderful people that donated this year to our Stuff the Bus Backpack & School Supply Collection Program. 929 backpacks were donated and filled with the thousands of pounds of the necessary supplies donated, that students need for school. All of these items have given our homeless youth a good start on the school year.
We could not do the program without all of our generous donors. Whether you were a returning donor, a new donor or were an anonymous donor, we so appreciate your assistance in helping our kids who are our future.

We need your assistance in our effort to help these children. Monetary contributions are always welcomed, as well, so that we can purchase the needed supplies.
If you would like to help, please bring backpacks and/or school supplies to the DPS drop site. Or call us at 303-523-5754 and we will be happy to pick them up. For 2018, the deadline date for donations is July 23rd.
MEED is in its 16th year of running this worthwhile project.
